What is a hyperlink, and how do you add a hyperlink?
A hyperlink in Excel is a link that directs you to another location, such as a web page, a different
worksheet, or a specific cell within the same worksheet.
Example:
To add a hyperlink:
1. Select the cell where you want the hyperlink.
2. Right-click and choose Link (or press “Ctrl + K”).
3. In the Insert Hyperlink dialog box, choose the type of link you want to create: to an existing file,
web page, place in the document, or email address.
4. Enter the link details and click OK.
How to add data validation in Excel?
Data Validation in Excel allows you to control the type of data or the values that users can enter into
a cell.
Example:
To add data validation:
1. Select the cell or range of cells where you want to apply data validation.
2. Go to the Data tab and click Data Validation.
3. In the Data Validation dialog box, select the type of validation criteria (e.g., whole number,
decimal, list, date).
4. Set the conditions and click OK.
For instance, to allow only numbers between 1 and 100, choose "Whole number" under Allow and
set the Minimum to 1 and Maximum to 100.
How to find the top 10 categories by sales, also explain how to display
this according to top 10 in descending order?.
You can find the top 10 categories by sales using the SORT and FILTER functions or by using a Pivot
Table.
Example using SORT and FILTER:
1. Assume your data is in columns A (Categories) and B (Sales).
2. Select the data and go to the Data tab.
3. Click on Sort & Filter > Sort Largest to Smallest to sort sales in descending order.
4. To display the top 10, select the first 10 rows after sorting.
