Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, design and deploy Power BI reports, dashboards and data models
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Connect to various data sources (SQL, Excel, APIs etc) and optimise data pipelines for performance and reliability.
- Develop and maintain DAX queries, Power Query, and data transformations.
- Train others within the business on Power BI and Services linked to it.
- Act as a trusted advisor, helping customers achieve more effective and efficient management practices through better software utilisation.
- Deliver knowledge transfer sessions on a range of ParentPay Group (PPG) software to schools, MATs, caterers and support units, helping maintain and grow our user base.
- As a team, work with Customer Education to ensure that our services remain fit for purpose, engaging and reflect current trends in educational settings.
- Stay informed about developments in the education sector to maintain credibility and relevance with customers.
- Provide regular progress updates in weekly reviews, flagging any issues promptly.
- Keep accurate records in relevant business systems.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt delivery to different audiences.
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar BI role.
- Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and data modelling principles.
- Experience connecting to SQL databases, Excel, SharePoint, and other data sources.
- Familiarity with Power BI Service administration (publishing, workspaces, permissions, etc.).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Experience working with customers to understand their business needs and problems; turning these into effective Power BI delivered solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
